Choosing the Right Color Temperature (Kelvins)
Colour temperature describes whether light appears warm or cool. Choose a light colour for the task and setting, and check whether the fixture has integrated LEDs or takes a separate bulb.
Light colour depends on the product. Examples from our current specifications:
- 2700K:The Amber rechargeable table lamp and wireless brass wall sconce list integrated 2700K warm-white LEDs.
- 3000K–6000K:The Cilia Luxe picture light offers warm white 3000K, natural white and cool white 6000K settings.
- E27 bulb:The St. Martins lantern has no integrated LED or included bulb. Choose a compatible E27 bulb for your preferred light colour.
Check the light source before buying
The Color Rendering Index (CRI) measures how accurately an artificial light source renders true natural color. Low-grade LEDs distort paint undertones, wood grain, and textile finishes, making spaces feel lifeless.
CRI values are specific to the LED or bulb and are not available for every item. For fixtures supplied without a bulb, both CRI and colour temperature depend on the bulb you buy separately.

At CILIALIGHT, we offer different ways to light a room. Rechargeable fixtures can help where a cable would be inconvenient; mains-powered fixtures suit permanent installations.
Power sources, materials and light colours vary across the collection. Amber is a USB-C rechargeable indoor table lamp with 2700K LEDs. St. Martins is a hardwired brass outdoor lantern with an E27 lampholder and no included bulb. Cilia Luxe is rechargeable and offers three light-colour settings.
Rechargeable options
Amber is a cable-free indoor table lamp. Our wireless brass wall sconce and Cilia Luxe picture light are also USB-C rechargeable. Runtime and installation details vary by model.

How does cordless rechargeable lighting work?↓
Our rechargeable models use a battery so they can operate without a mains cable while charged. Amber lists USB-C charging and up to 30 hours per charge; the wireless brass wall sconce lists 8–18 hours depending on brightness; Cilia Luxe lists 8–10 hours. Controls and installation vary by model. These details do not apply to hardwired fixtures such as St. Martins.
Does every light work without wiring or include a bulb?↓
No. St. Martins is a hardwired mains fixture with one E27 lampholder and is supplied without a bulb. Rechargeable fixtures and plug-in lights have different requirements. Check the power source, included accessories and installation instructions on each product page.

What is your returns policy?↓
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from receiving your goods to request a return. We accept returns of undamaged fixtures in their original packaging with all documentation and accessories included. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days of warehouse receipt.
How do I clean and maintain brass and glass lighting?↓
Ensure the fixture is disconnected or switched off. Use a soft, lint-free microfibre cloth for dry dusting. For glass shades, use a lightly dampened cloth with mild soapy water. Never apply ammonia-based glass cleaners, abrasive pads, or harsh chemical sprays to brushed brass or anodised aluminium finishes.
